The joint chairmen of Tuscan American Association attended the May 25 Memorial Day ceremony took place at the American Cemetery at Falciani and have laid a wreath at the tombstones bearing the name of the fallen.
He celebrated the seventieth anniversary of the end of World War II for which the ceremony was particularly solemn with the presence of Prime Minister Renzi and the Ambassador of the United States of America Phillips.
Each year the Verrazzano Day is celebrated on April 17.
This year the celebrations were held at the castle of Verrazzano in Greve in the magnificent residence of the family of the famous navigator.
Dr Giovanni Cappellini led the TAA members to visit the castle decorated with portraits of Giovanni da Verrazzano and the library where are collected his papers and maps.

Conference on "Role of American universities in Tuscany" February 16, 2015 at the auditorium of the Council of the Tuscany Region chaired by the Council President Alberto Monaci, with the participation of the speakers at the desk of the Deputy Mayor of Florence Cristina Giachi, the Consul General of the United States of America Abigail M.Rupp, the Co-Chairmen of the TAA Andrea Davis and Frederick Frediani, the regional minister Gianni Salvadori.
At the Consulate of the United States on December 11, 2014 was held on the feast of the exchange of greetings to the presence of the Consul January Abigail Rupp, Co-Presidents of the TAA, the Deputy Mayor of Florence, the Mayor of Barberino Val d'Elsa.

The day Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. will be held at the Consulate General of the United States of America, Lungarno Vespucci 38 Florence, the traditional party of exchange of greetings on the occasion of the upcoming holidays.
Will participate in the Children's Choir of Colli Fiorentini directed by Master Silvia Lotti.
Followed by a cocktail.
On October 8th at the Palazzo Vecchio in the Salone dei CCinquescento will be the customary WELCOME DAY, the welcome ceremony for students of American Universities present in Florence.
The Welcome Day 2014 is characterized as an authentic Tuscan welcome to the community of American students, who will be for a few months real citizens of Florence.
The Tuscan American Association, the Osservatorio Mestieri d'Arte, the GenerazioniContatti Onlus - through its campaign Beviconlatesta - and the Mercato Centrale, are the organizers of the event, which will be held starting at 17.30 in the Salone dei Cinquecento with the welcome address by the Mayor of Florence and the Ambassador of the United States of America, with the delivery of the Prize "Tuscany-USA 2014". The event will go to 18.30 in Sala d'Arme, with a presentation of arts and crafts workshops LWA with the Atelier degli Artigianelli. At 19:30, into the Mercato Centrale, followed by a tasting of local products.

During the presentation ceremony of the book "Firenze sotto tiro" by F. Hartt on the liberation of the City, on June 26 the members have greeted Sarah Morrison leaving Florence ceasing the functions of the U.S. Consul General.
The Co-Chairs have donated to Sarah a painting of Anna di Volo and a t-shirt with the words FLORENCE LOVES YOU.
